An ideal classical guitar for lovers of vintage guitars.
Francisco Manuel Fleta – The Origins of a Great Lineage
Born in 1880, Francisco Manuel Fleta showed a passion for instrument making from a very young age, completing his first violin at just fifteen. Encouraged by his father, he began an apprenticeship with the Barcelona-based luthier Benito Jaume, where he honed his skills for three years before further refining his craft under Étienne Marie.
In 1915, Fleta opened his own workshop in Barcelona and shared his knowledge with his brothers, Ignacio and Bienvenido, establishing the foundations of a renowned family tradition.
The guitar presented here, crafted in 1962 by Francisco Manuel Fleta, fully reflects the artistry and time-honored techniques that define the Fleta family legacy.
Guitar sound
Between Tradition and Modernity
The sound of this instrument recalls that of the guitars crafted by the renowned luthier Francisco Simplicio. It stands at the crossroads between the original 19th-century guitar in the spirit of Torres and the sonic modernity of the 20th century.
