Renowned luthier Enrique Garcia
Son of the great luthier Juan Garcia, Enrique Garcia was born in Madrid in 1868. He apprenticed with José and Manuel Ramirez in 1883 and won first prize at the Chicago exhibition 10 years later, in 1893. He moved to Barcelona in 1895 and soon became known the world over. Founder of the Barcelona School, he trained Francisco Simplicio and Enrique Sanfeliú. Today, he is considered one of the greatest luthiers in history.
