Guitar Maurice Ottiger 1996

An ideal classical guitar for lovers of vintage guitars.

Luthier Maurice Ottiger

Maurice Ottiger was born in Switzerland in 1951, and has been passionate about guitar building since childhood. Between 1974 and 1981, he trained with the great Swiss lute-maker Jacob van de Geest. He set up his workshop in Châtel-St-Denis in 1982. Ottiger quickly established himself as a top-quality luthier, offering a wide variety of instruments: classical, baroque and romantic guitars, as well as lutes, archlutes and theorbos. He finally settled in Les Paccots in 1993. Ottiger is known for his varied and singular craftsmanship, inspired by a variety of instruments: the bridges and pegboxes of romantic guitars, the waxed top and carved rosette of antique guitars…

Guitar sound

Powerful and vibrant

With its powerful harmonics and clear notes, this Ottiger guitar is a lively, expressive and vibrant instrument.
