Luthier Antonio Emilio Pascual

Emilio Antonio Pascual Viudes Aznar was born in 1883 in Crévillente (Alicante region – Spain). The son of luthiers, he learned the trade from his family. In 1897, his family sent him to Madrid to apprentice in Manuel Ramirez‘s famous workshop. He was 14 years old at the time. He spent 12 years in the Spanish capital, including a year with José Ramirez. In 1909, he opened his own workshop in Buenos Aires where, until the end of the 1950s, he made top-quality instruments (guitars, violins, violas, cellos, etc.). This great luthier lost his life in 1959.
