The famous luthier Antonio de Lorca
Antonio de Lorca Piño was the son of Antonio de Lorca García (1798-1870). He took over his father’s workshop on the latter’s death, and died in Malaga in 1909. Antonio de Lorca Ramirez (1909 – 1929) then took over. These three generations of Lorcas played a major role in the history of the guitar, making their workshop an influential landmark. Antonio de Torres, Julián Arcas and many other great luthiers and guitarists liked to meet here.
